GENERAL
CONDITIONS
The contract is subject to the disposition of
the law of 27/12/77 no.1084, approved and executed in the international
convention relating to travel contract (CCV).
The liability of Argiletum Tour is
limited to the above law.
Argiletum Tour acts as tour operator and agent. All arrangements for
transport or conveyance or for hotel accommodations are made by Argiletum
Tour as agent of the suppliers. By utilizing the services of suppliers,
you agree that neither Argiletum Tour nor any subsidiary of Argiletum
Tour shall be liable for any injury, damage, loss, accident or delay
incurred by your or those travelling with you directly or indirectly
from any acts or default of the suppliers or from any occurrence or
condition beyond the control of Argiletum Tour, including defects in
vehicles or breakdown in equipment.
REGISTRATION FEE
10,00 euros per person for 1 single night hotel reservation
TERMS
OF RESERVATION AND PAYMENT
Reservation requests should be sent by fax or e-mail indicating personal
records and address, name and date of service requested
Any booking request should be confirmed by a voucher of confirmation with reference number from Argiletum Tour. Argiletum Tour will not be responsible for any reservation not confirmed.
A 30% deposit payment is required upon receipt of our confirmation of
the reservation.
Final payment is due 21 days prior to the arrival date.
If a booking is made within 21 days of the departure date, full payments
are due immediately.
Payments are accepted by
- credit card
- bank transfer.
In this case a copy of the bank transfer receipt is requested.
Direct payment by cash should be guaranteed with a credit card.
RATES
Rates are all quoted in EURO and are based on present cost conditions
(January 2003) and include VAT taxes. They are valid from 01.01.2003
to 31.12.2003 . All rates are subject to change without notice due to
increases imposed by hotel and tour / cruise operators, currency fluctuation
and fuel surcharges. In case of unexpected increases, superior to
10% of single prices because of new rules or taxes, the fares will be
adjusted and the clients notified in writing. Client has the right then
to cancel with no penalty within 48 hours after notification of new
price.
REDUCTIONS
Tours are free for children under the age of 3. From
age 3 to 8 a 20% reduction will be applied to the fare (on tours not
including overnight).
For walking tours 50% reduction from
age 3 to 8 will be applied to the fare.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellations of tour bookings
are subjected to a cancellation fee according to the following scale:
For tour packages:
- For cancellations more than 30 days before arrival will be charged
a penalty corresponding to 10% of the total amount.
- For cancellations from 29
to 15 days prior to arrival
will be charged a penalty corresponding to 30% of the total amount.
- For cancellations from 14
to 2 days prior to arrival will
be charged a penalty corresponding to 50% of the total amount.
- For cancellations beyond this time limit, after arrival dates &
no-show the total amount will be charged.
For Hotels and Apartments:
- For cancellations more than 30 days before arrival will be charged
a penalty corresponding to 10% of the total amount.
- For cancellations from 29
to 15 days prior to arrival
will be charged a penalty corresponding to 30% of the total amount.
- For cancellations from 14
to 4 days prior to arrival will
be charged a penalty corresponding to 50% of the total amount.
- For cancellations from 3 to
1 day prior to arrival will
be charged a penalty corresponding to 75% of the total amount.
- For cancellations on the day of arrival, after arrival dates &
no-show the total amount will be charged.
For regular city tours:
For cancellations at least 9 days before arrival:
will be charged a penalty corresponding to handling fee of Eu. 10,00
per person
For cancellations at least 8 days before arrival: will be charged
a penalty corresponding to 30% of the total amount
For cancellations from 7 days
to 48 hours prior to arrival will be charged a penalty corresponding
to 50% of the total amount
For cancellations less than 48 hours prior to arrival the total amount
will be charged.
All cancellations shoul be notified in writing and confirmed by Argiletum
Tour.
Argiletum Tour will not be resposible for cancellations not confirmed
charging client with total amount.
SUBSTITUTION
Should client wish to substitute partecipants, substitution can only
be accepted in writing by the person who signed the booking or in writing
by the travel agent through whom the booking was made at least 4 days
before arrival. At the same time organizer should receive all information
about substitute
Substitute will be charged for all the extra costs of substitution.
Substitute will be informed on the amount of extra costs before applying
substitution. Client that cancelled will pay only registration fee.
CANCELLATIONS BY ARGILETUM TOUR
In respect to art. 10 of the above cited law no. 1084 of 27/12/77 for
unforeseen events or changes depending on third parties ARGILETUM TOUR
reserves the right to vary itineraries and any tour departure or to cancel reservation totally or partially. Argiletum Tour may
have to amend a tour may not reach a minimum number of partecipants
which would be economical to operate. In this event Argiletum Tour will
offer an alternative available of comparable standards. Client has the
choice of accepting the changed arrangements as notified or cancelling
reserved travel service, in this case Argiletum Tour will return all
money client has paid.
No reimbursement will be granted to any client
who is not at the place of departure at the time established; similarly,
no reimbursement will be granted to clients who loose contact with the
guide or do not complete the tour.
Argiletum Tour is also not responsible for partial closure of Museums
and delays caused by third parties.
UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES
No reductions or credit notes will be given under circumstances amounting
to a “Force Majeure” which means: war or threat of war, riot, civil
strife, natural disaster, fire, closure of airports
and ports, adverse weather conditions
VALIDITY OF DESCRIPTIONS
All descriptions are based on information obtained from Argiletum Tour
Staff’s regular inspections and correspond exactly to the services offered.
If you have a problem or complaint it is important, and in your own
interest, to inform immediately Argiletum Tour or
its representative so that steps can be taken to resolve the
matter on the spot. Because of the difficulties in investigating a complaint
too long after the event, we will not consider any complaint unless
notified to us.
DISPUTE
In case of dispute, the competent law court, will be Rome

from 01.01.2008 to 31.12.2008
