On these tours, would we be part of a large group?
Walking tours, that we personally designed, are for very small groups, max. 20 persons, however groups are usually smaller than this.

Would we be skipping the line at main tourist attractions?
Yes. Joining our tours you will skip the line at the Coliseum, Vatican and all main tourist sites with special entrance for guides. We take care of all reservations so you do not have to worry about arrangements.

Would we be skipping the line at the Vatican Museums too?
During high Season our tour has departure before official opening hours with special entrance for groups, this will save you loosing hours in the line, but on very crowded days even with our tour you might be waiting in line for approx. 15/20 minutes).

Are your guides qualified?
We have a professional team of English speaking guides with deep knowledge of history and art and very long experience in leading either groups or individuals. We personally selected all the guides of our team and assure that you will enjoy your visits.

How will I recognise the guide?
The guide will be standing holding up the distinctive Argiletum Tour leaflet. We specify on your voucher of reservation exact meeting point for the reserved tour.

How long does a Walking tour last?
Our regular walking tours last three hours.If you wish to have a longer or shorter walk you should ask for a quotation on a private basis.

What happens if I do not find the guide?
Our guides have a list of all participants and with our voucher of reservation we will provide you with a mobile phone number that you shall contact in case you can’t find the guide at meeting point.

How far do we walk?
On average the walks cover about a mile. Maybe a mile and a half on some of the longer ones. I.E., about 2 kilometres if you are thinking metrically. It is not hard walking. We go at a very gentle pace. None of the walks is a forced march; All the walks are easy as there are no steep hills to climb.

Would we be visiting the Vatican gardens?
No. If you wish to visit the Vatican Gardens you should ask for a quotation on a private basis. We remind you that advance reservation is requested.

Can I book tours when I get there?
Reservations are needed. Please book early to avoid disappointment.It is recommended you to pre book walking tours, because there is a limited space available and can be sold out early. If you wish to wait and book at the destination, you can contact us once in Italy but we cannot guarantee space for you.

May we be picked-p at hotel?
For walking we do offer pick up service for hotels or private apartments centrally located at an additional price of Euro 7,00 per person

If I am on the Vatican Tour at the end of the visit I wish to stay longer in the Vatican Museums May I enter again using the same ticket?
No. Once you leave the Vatican Museums if you wish to enter again you should buy a new ticket.

Is pick-up service from our hotel included?
Pick-up service is available only from hotels centrally located.Hotel pick up points and times will be confirmed on voucher of reservation. It is important that you wait punctually at the lobby of your hotel for our representative. When pick-up service is not included we will give you full details on how to reach departure point of all reserved tours.

I am not staying in a hotel, what is the closest pick up point? Do you pick up from private residences or bed & breakfast?
Most of the times we also pick up from private residences and bed & breakfast when centrally located. Upon reservation you will need to provide full address of your residence and call our office on the day before the requested service for confirmation of pick-up times. When pick up service is confirmed, at the time of pick-up you are kindly requested to wait outside your residence for the shuttle bus service.

How long does a Bus tour last?
Our regular bus tours last aprox. three and half hours, including pick up service.If you wish to have a longer or shorter walk you should ask for a quotation on a private basis.

What languages are available for this tour?
In the info of each tour you can check languages available. Anyhow English is available for all the tours.

Are tips for the tour director included in the tour price?
Tips to your tour director, bus drivers, and local guides are not included in the tour price.

Most tours are confirmed at time of booking, however others (with overnight stay) will be advised to you within 48 hours. If confirmation or otherwise is not received within 24 hours, please contact our main office in Rome calling +39.06.47825706 or sending an e-mail to info@argiletumtour.com for further assistance.

Can I book over the telephone?
Our reservation office is open from Monday to Friday 9,00am to 6,00pm and you can freely contact and reserve during these hours (Greenwich time). Beyond this we offer 7 days a week customer service via email to support your booking questions. We guarantee turnaround within 48 hours.
