You will start the tour following the sea road to reach the ancient Roman harbour of Ostia Antica, after about 30 minutes.

Founded around 4th century B.C. Ostia conveys the same impression as Pompeii but on a smaller scale. A rare witness to 900 years of Roman civilization awaits you.
The city was inhabited by a cosmopolitan population of rich businessmen, merchants, sailor and slaves. During the walk through the ruins, our guide, will gradually instruct you about the cultural and social life of Ancient Rome, you will see the warehouses, where huge shipments of grain from Africa where handled, the insulae forerunners of the modern apartment, the thermopolia, ancient Roman bars with marble counters and frescoes depicting the foodstuffs sold inside; the theatre still in use today and the Forum, centre of the city. You will also admire beautiful mosaics, sculptures, the ruins of the Synagogue one of the oldest in the western world and the huge thermal baths?

After this fascinating walk you will have a complete knowledge of what everyday life have been like in ancient Rome!
At the end of tour drive back to hotel.
