The Colosseum is open every day of the year, excluding Christmas Day and New Year's Day, and opens at 8.30 AM; closing times are as follows:

Open every day from 8.30 till one hour before dusk  (Holy Friday 8.30-14, June 2nd  13.30-19.15):
8.30 - 16.30 From  January 2nd  till February 15th 
8.30 - 17 From  February 16th  till March 15th
8.30 - 17.30 From  March 16th  till the last Saturday of March
8.30 - 19.15 from the last Sunday of March till August 31^st
8.30 -19 From September 1^st till September 30^th
8.30 - 18.30 From  October 1^st   till the last Saturday of October
8.30 - 16.30 from the last Sunday of October till December 31^st
Closed January 1^st, December 25^th

Please note that this ticket also includes admission to the Palatine Hill and museum, and admission to the Roman Forum
