In the Capitoline Museum now, in a route that seems infinite, to the discovery a world lost in the centuries, among the wonders of the oldest public museum in the world, live again the protagonists of the past. We will go through the rooms dedicated to antiquity seeing the "Capitoline She-Wolf", the Dying Gaul, the busts, the heads, the figures of emperors and popes, philosophers and poets, gods and the heroes.
The Picture gallery with among the others the works by Caravaggio, the collection of Etruscan, Greek and Italic vases, the Cini Gallery, rich of precious porcelains, frescoes, that narrate the illustrious legends and history of the City, the new space of the covered garden, where the bronzes of Hercules, Costantine and the outstanding equestrian statue of Mark Aurel, housed in a fascinating setting that combines harmoniously art with history and nature; the terrace of the Tabularium, from which a breathtaking panorama on the Roman Forum will render alive under our eyes the vestiges of a glorious past and will approach us to the feelings of the Roman Emperors who from this same terrace governed the world and watched over their subjects absorbed in their daily activities.
We will pleasantly finish our visit with a drink, admiring the beauty of these sites, with the wish of discovering other and impressive treasures among the ruins of the Imperial Fora and the Palatine or continuing the evening in one of the characteristics Roman trattorias of the district
