In 2000, Activitaly revolutionized digital tourism with the creation of the first interactive map of Rome, ahead of similar tools like Google Maps by five years. This pioneering project allowed visitors to virtually explore the eternal city through an advanced system linked to a database. Hypertext markers on the map provided access to detailed information sheets on monuments, restaurants, and local activities.
