DAY 1

Welcome to Lecce! Arrive at the hotel on your own and enjoy your first day in the city at your leisure. Overnight stay.

DAY 2

Breakfast at the hotel. At 9:45, meet at the meeting point in Piazza Sant’Oronzo next to the “Caffè Alvino” to join the rest of the group. At 10:00, the guided walking tour (in English, Italian upon request) will begin, immersing you in the art and history of Lecce through its most iconic monuments.

We will start our tour by reaching the majestic Basilica of Santa Croce, a masterpiece of Lecce Baroque. Its facades sculpted in local stone are an extraordinary example of craftsmanship. The Basilica of Santa Croce is the most significant example of Lecce Baroque.
We will continue to the Cathedral Square, where you can admire the Lecce Cathedral, another jewel of the local Baroque. Its intricate facade and bell tower are must-see attractions. You will discover the history of this cathedral and its central role in the city’s life.
A visit to the ancient Roman Amphitheater, a testament to the millennia-old history of Lecce, is also included.
During the tour, we will stop at a typical local venue where you can delight your palate with some of the specialties of Puglia. Among the delicacies offered, we recommend trying:
Pasticciotto Leccese, a traditional dessert made of shortcrust pastry and custard, a true delight for the senses; Taralli, crispy snacks similar to breadsticks, often flavored with olive oil and black pepper; Pittule, small fried calzones filled with olives, tomatoes, and cheese.
For wine lovers, we recommend a taste of the famous Negramaro, a local red wine.

The rest of the day is at your disposal to explore Lecce further or relax. Overnight stay.
