At 7,00am departure from Rome by train. Meet the assistant at Termini Station.
After 1hour ride arrive in Naples where a local guide will meet and greet you. Reach the excavations of Pompeii by local train. While passing the famous towns of Ercolano, Torre del Greco and Portici your guide will introduce you to the fascinating history of their inhabitants, living at the bottom of an active volcano Mount Vesuvius.
During a long catastrophic eruption of the volcano Mount Vesuvius, spanning two days in 79 AD, Pompeii was destroyed, and completely buried under 60 feet of ash and pumice. It was lost for nearly 1,700 years before its accidental rediscovery in 1748. Since then, its excavation has provided an extraordinarily detailed insight into the life of a city at the height of the Roman Empire.
Pompeii is an incredible site, and seeing it with a tour guide is an amazing experience to learn the art, history and habits of Ancient Roman civilizations.
After the visit of the main attractions your guide will leave you to wander around, take a snack accompanied by a fresh Sorrento Orange Juice.
From Pompeii getting on the local train return to Naples, where, according with the program you get the train back to Rome.
